Innovate Like Walt Disney

Walt Disney had a passion for innovating the client experience so his guests would never get bored. It is important to never be boring, never be stale. 
 
A bored client will go elsewhere. It might not have anything to do with your service, they are just bored - that’s not good. Being bored is actually one of the top three reasons a client will leave you.
 
“New and improved” is one of the main driving forces at the Disney company. Improving the client experience is never finished. It is constantly evolving and needs to lead to innovation in your processes.
 
The key to innovation is to strike a balance between the new and old. You don’t just add new technology because it adds something flashy. Instead, you are improving on the foundation that is already there, making the client experience better.
 
Innovation does not need to be drastic or overly expensive. It can be a change in uniforms – even seasonal uniforms. A new promotion. A new video in the lobby. New paint colors. A new random gift of appreciation for your clients.
 
Take a walk around in your store(s) with your team, and look for areas that can be improved, changed, or innovated. Then make sure you take ACTION. Once the change has been made, make sure to make a big deal of it and announce it to your clients and prospects.
